He's obviously terrified. I love this fabulous understatement from the article: "Armstrong is iconic for overcoming major obstacles, such as cancer, Chlouber said." Let's see, what else could one overcome before a world cycling victory that might sound as impressive...lack of education?riding with a hangover? fear of hashing? fear ofBrownie?
He did win the 2003 Dirty Du proving his exceptional trail riding skills. This should be pretty similar effort for him!
