The dog and I just got back from marking the final third of the Fat Ass. 10.8 miles to the house once you hit the Intemann Trail. Lots of snow, but it is very runnable and should be even moreso tomorrow. I ran in old, beat up road shoes and didn't slip one time.

that's because you're such an elite runner.
any traction needed on any of the 50k?
I think it would take longer putting on and off yaktrax than it would just going slow over ice. Should be good trail conditions tomorrow.
F this! I'm moving up to CO! Just read Tony's post about the run tomorrow! Have a great time out there!
You starting at 7am, jt?
Screw shoes then?
I will be down for the 7AM start.
I'm starting at 7:15, gotta sign up for San Juan. Coffee will be ready at 6AM.
Screw shoes will be fine, just don't wear 'em in the house or you'll hafta deal with $100. Hell, we've already had to put up a sign due to GZ behavior...
What? I thought there was no whining at these events.
