That's the quote from the Joel Zucker memorial on top of Grant-Swamp Pass, over 13000 feet high and roughly 13 miles into the Hardrock 100. One of the steepest climbs in the race. Only the second climb and I was already having trouble.

good thing you are drinking-watch out for the lion in your neck of the woods. if you stumble out of the pub and you see a lion, it is a lion. don't try and pet it.

Loved the pictures of you sitting on the rocks and taking a nap:) That's real! Also, way to light one at the finish. Congrats, it's a doozy.
