Leadville in the NY Times!

Nice write up of Pb-ville in the NY Times today. See the article here. Still waiting to hit the lottery so I can live in South Oakland and have second houses in Leadville and Bandera.

Free pint of Icehouse from the THL to the first person to correctly identify where this pic was taken. You must be more specific than "Leadville."

I think that I barfed on that sign in the 2005 race. I totally have to play these games so I am forced to come up for a drink. Yeah...like twist my rubber arm.

You could still get into Leadville. You are in shape from your ill-fated Hardrock attempt...

Ooh, is that the National Fish Hatchery?

Damn, in no way does that sound appealing to me. Have fun.

Seems I'm too late. It's along CO 300. I've riding by there many times on the bike. Only 2 more weeks until the 100 bike race.

OK, Ultrarob and Moogy both win a pint. Let me know when yunz guys'll be in Manitou.

The sign is for the Leadville Fish Hatchery, a big aid station for the 100 mile run.

Which reminds me, and whoever answered this also gets a beer, what did fish smell like before women startes swimming?

Concerning the NY Times piece.

Confusingly written, and in places, just plan wrong. I take offense to the condescending and "cutesy" manner in which Ms. Olsson portayed Leadville.

The photographs, however, are just wonderful! My complements to photographer Kevin Moloney. Some of the best photography of my town I've ever seen.
