As much as I hate to say anything decent about an A&M guy, it's nice to see Secretary of Defense Robert Gates kicking ass and taking names. Yesterday he tossed the two top dogs of the Air Force to the curb. Not too long ago he fired the Secretary of the Army for shoddy medical treatment of wounded soldiers. Remember when Abu Gharib broke and a buck sergeant was gonna get demoted to E-1 and two specialists were gonna be kicked out of the military? Nice to see the higher ups are finally being held accountable.
The Air Force really failed to impress me about anything (well, they do have good looking women...) while I was there, and I think it's horrible how little of the burden they fill in the current scheme of things. Hopefully the new guy for the job lights a fire under the entire Air Force and they start shaping up. Barring that, he should put NASCOCK in charge so the Kimchi hash can give away nuclear weapons at a future trail. The "Get Bombed With The Kimchi H3" would be huge!
I wonder how much different things would be today had W picked Gates from the beginning? OK, I should think of something else before I start to cry...
