morning intervals

Nice workout at the CC track this morning, despite the chilly weather and annoying wind. 6 x 1000 meters, 200 meters of rest in between. Sucked on the first one, hitting 3:54, but than rattled off 3:40, 3:44, 3:44, 3:43, and 3:40. Please note that this is significantly faster than Mike Safari ran. Warm up and cool down gave me a total of 6.5 miles.

Who do you think would win in a mile race between you, Harry, and AJW?

AJW lives north of Castle Rock, and those people are slowpokes, so that's a given. Harry would be much tougher competition.

You should do the Manitou 5K before the CRUD party.

If you do it - I'm in!

That's my Bolder Boulder A wave qualifier - I hafta run 18:19. Maybe I'll run faster and steal the CRUD performance of the year at the last minute.

OK Brownie, those are fightin' words. I have no idea where Castle Rock is but I'll put a 6 pack of PBR on the line if you want to do a mile race. Then, for double or nothing, we can see who can drink it faster. FastED can be the judge.

I recently* ran a mile in 4:32, so I'll use that for the bet. And you're on for the beer challenge!

*OK, it was in 1993, but I think in geologic time and 16 years is barely an eye blink in the grand scheme of things...

Deal! I'm running my mile on November 12th. I'll get someone to video tape it. I will probably wuss out and go down to 3000 ft to do it. And, I'll have the PBR on hand just in case.
