IRS has dropped their mileage rate to fifty cents. Makes it that much easier to win my beer from Smut since that'll help me keep running costs under a buck a mile.
Currently at $3.74 per mile. Trying to get in a bunch more miles before I have to drop $30 for the Boston "special bus" and another $80 on a new pair of Sportiva Wildcats.

Hmmm... Cars prices, maintenance, insurance, et al hasn't gotten cheaper. Unless $.55/m was based on $4/g gas, which peaked about 2 years ago...
This also counts against your running vs. driving to work credit. Unless you carry a fat chick piggy-back the whole way; then it's $1/m.
