book #8

Just finished this one. Pretty good read, it's definitely had a positive effect on my diet. Have gone over six months without fast food, and now I'm trying to give up high fructose corn syrup. Of course, having said that, I'm getting a box of 48 snickers after work, fuel to get me through Hardrock...

I gave up HFCS for NutraSweet years ago! Totally more healthy...or maybe not.

FF, that would leave me eating bags of chips and drinking PBR.

'nother good post. Have you seen "King Corn" or "Food, Inc." documentaries (might be 'Watch Instantly' on Netflix)? Between all that, "Fast Food Nation", etc., it all starts to sound the same, but still good stuff.

Nutrasweet, used to drink it for a bit in college, but if I have it now, especially during or post-exercise, it really wacks me out. It's like my body knows exactly how much energy it should get from something sweet, and it gets really mad when there aren't the right number of calories accompanying it.
