Pirates not only end their season on a two game winning streak but Freddy Sanchez grabs two hits to win the NL batting title!Buccos finished 43-38 at home, their first winning season at the new stadium. Also finished with a winning record after the all star break (37-35) for the first time since 1436. OK, it was actually 1992.
But now that the Pittsburgh baseball season is over, I'm going to bury the hatchet and support all those H-town bloggers and root for the Astros in the playoffs!

That's real sweet of you and all, but since the 'Stros lost yesterday, they're out of the playoffs. :(
So sad, especially since the Cardinals lost yesterday as well. At least we went out on a good note...we were 8 1/2 games back just 1 1/2 weeks ago and then won 10 out of 12 games to give a good run for the postseason!

You can root for the Astros, I hear they are playing the Pirates in the "I lost out to the Cardinals again" playoffs.
Now if the Cards will just wake up the sleeping giant and get back to winnning I'd be real happy.
