After San Juan, I'm going to concentrate on the shorter stuff and take a stab at a 2:49 three times this year: San Fran, Wisconsin Dells, and Vegas. Will probably fail miserably, but I won't know unless I try. It's already been a great year with a new marathon and 50 miler PR, so even if no more races go my way I'll still be happy with 2011.

maybe if you skip the shitter and the two beer stops you'll have a greater shot at it, but it would be some story, if you could pull it off with 3 joy stops.

A PR at San Francisco! Ha ha ha.... That's funny. SF is the Hardrock of road marathons!! Vegas, baby! We're chasing the same goal..... but I only missed by 21 seconds.
Is that a challenge, JP? You gonna toe the line in Vegas? You couldn't get the job done when you tried to help your boy Fuller take me down, maybe you should try yourself...

SF will be a bitch but I say go for it. I sure as hell will be taking it easy down there and enjoying the summer fog.

I ran this marathon the first yea of the new course. It is for sure a PR race if the wind is down. I had only been running for a few months when I ran this so my race was horribly slow (3:25?).
One of these years I will go back and run it again. Vegas is sweet!
