Mon PM - Me and seven others braved the snow and chilly temps for the Soul Runners. The Garden was very beautiful and peaceful, ended up doing an extra loop for 10.2 miles, 1:39.
Tues AM - Snow and a refreshing 9F at 5AM when I left the house. Ran over to the Manitou track and found it covered in snow. Slipped twice during the first 100 meters so I bailed on the speedwork and ran an easy ten through Manitou, the Garden, and Old Colorado City.

this may sound dumb to you, but i'm goinna ask anyway... are there no shorter indoor tracks around you can go to?
Remember, there is no such thing as a dumb question, just dump people who ask questions!
There may or may not be one at the Air Force Academy, I'm not sure. I don't like to run indoors anyways. I've actually never run on an indoor track or a treadmill.
i was just thinking for speedwork.
a buddy that recently moved to boston, has been relegated to speedwaork on the indoor track, so it got me thinking.
i never said it was a dumb question, or that i was dumb, only that you would find it dumb.
Running a 200 meter banked track just appeals to me in no way whatsoever. So Bernard Lagat, if you're reading this, your new 5K AR is safe for now.
I'm fairly sure the AFA has one. But if I'm gonna drive all the way up there (about 10 miles) it would be to do the Falcon Trail.
beautiful and peaceful???......been reading your blog a while......never seen you use those 2 words before....maybe you meant BEER......while I've got you, will help me put some peer pressure on Naresh to make the .5 mile trek to my house for some fucking beer!!!!!
You should have grown a pair and joined us at Bear Creek!
Treadmills suck! Just stay outside, hit the trails.
