Went for it and blew up. 1:26 high at the halfway point. I then ran into the half marathoners, all 38,000 of 'em. Seems they started that race a few minutes early. They were supposed to leave a lane open specifically for marathoners, but that never happened. Not too pissed, I don't think I could have got that 2:49 on this day, and I had a blast running the strip under the neon.

thank you for running this race and reminding me that my Bucket List of Runs to Do While Tripping on Acid has been totally ignored lately. "Fear and Running in Las Vegas" is what I'm calling it.
Run #1 'Away From the Cops' was getting lonely.

Hey, I was one of the stupid Half-marathoners! But I did make it a point to stay out of the marathon lane. Congrats on getting into Hardrock looks like quite the field this year!
