Trail stats for the ballbuster, provided by fellow Pikes Peak hasher Nips. I had a blast, ran farther than Nips following shitty falses, several times thought I was gonna barf up a lung, had lots of trouble breathing, and overall had a great time doing this killer trail! Even better was the fact that at three different points on trail, I got to see Free Bus(c)h with a bottle of Boone's Farm! FYI, at chalk talk the hares said the approx distance of the ballbuster trail was six miles. Kudos to the Austin hash though, as two of three did the ballbuster, and the other did the eagle!
"Actual distance, when elevation gain/loss is included, was 10.03 miles. That included getting suckered into the Check Back From Hell (200ft all by itself).
Total elevation gain: 1722 feet, mostly in mud.
Total elevation loss: 1612 feet, mostly in snow!
River depth was two feet, until I slipped on the mossy rocks and fell in. Water temp at that point was -55 degrees C. Fortunately, the creeks in Colorado Springs don't have as much moss, because the humidity is too low.
Do you believe that?"

I am guessing you measured that ridiculous temp with your crotch thermometer? Remember now, it reads colder than actual because it's abnormally small even in warm temperatures. That's what the girls say anyway.
If you could read, you'd have read that those stats were provided by Nips, not me. And yes, lots of CO runners have watches that measure that kind of stuff. He also told me your blog sucks.
those trails were hard as hell!!! trust me, i am not a crazy runner like brownie but i do know it sucked hard!
