fat ass

Great times at the Ponderous Posterior. Thanks to everyone who came out. Bunch of photos from Steve P can be seen here.

Drop bags will be on my back porch, stop by and pick 'em up when you can. If you're from out of town, let me know and I'll arrange a pick up. I'll be in Denver on Saturday if I need to cart any bags up north.

Day went pretty smooth. We will definitely have much more water at the aid station next time. And lots of people seemed to miss the turn off from Rampart Range Road down to the Garden. It was heavily marked with flour and tape, but maybe something bigger will be in order for next year.

I had a good run. 8:40, with lots of time spent goofing off on Red Mountain, the Incline, and the Waldo aid station. First run over 3.5 hours in months. Nice to get such a good slog in during January.

The run was small potatoes compared with the pub crawl that followed. Red Rock Lounge, Benny's, Southside Johnny's, Oscar's, Red Rock Lounge. Very impressed with all the local runners who were able to close down the Lounge with me.

Great time. Thanks for organizing. No problems w/ course markings. In fact, we commented several times how impressed we were that y'all got out and marked the course at all!

It was a great day JT. Thanks to you and all of the the other volunteers who helped to put this all together. It was a sick but fun course and now I have a few more trails to link together for some great training runs when there isn't any ice! :) Again, thanks!

The best marked FA event I ever ran! I commented on that to Deb all day long. I was one of the ones who went off on Rampart, but I was following Garry H. ;-) Also no problem with the lack of water, I also made a note to bring a bunch next year to add to the station...that and maybe some of my home brew ;-)

thanks JT for a great event. Even the 5 miles up the incline was fun (it WAS that long, wasn't it?)
The fun just kept on coming...
Did anybody else notice the coyote hide hanging on a tree next to Range Ridge Rd.?
The PBR at the aid station took the place of water.. :-)

Thanks to all you guys for coming out.

Deb, I did notice the hide up there. When you're going as slow as me you notice a lot more.

Steve, be sure to bring some of your brew to Jemez!

Thanks again for putting this together and for the place to crash Fri! Certainly was a good time - except I have a nice piece of plaster to carry around on my hand for the next month...

JT, awesome awesome event. Can't thank you enough for hosting such a great time. You all have an amazing backyard to play in. Very jealous.

JT, will bring some of the home brew for sure, but it will only be for "special" runners. So ask me for it at the Last Chance Saloon....everyone else gets Tecate!

Deb,

The hide was on the road I picked it up and put in the tree.

Great event, thanks to all.
