Just got word that Bill Gallegos passed away yesterday. I don't think I've ever finished a race in Colorado Springs where he wasn't in charge of the finish line.
I had seen him at all the Pikes Peak Road Runner events I have done since 2002. My thoughts go to his family and I can say that he will be missed in this running community.

He will be missed, greatly. He and I butted heads many times but he always cared most about the runners.
